Constitution

The constitution is intended to be the highest internal law of a future AAHA state. It will define the identity of the country, source and limits of authority, roles of the Crown and institutions, rights of people, law-making process, courts, public finance and rules for amendment and emergency.

Today it is a design project. Draft language can guide the initiative’s habits, but it cannot bind people as sovereign law before lawful jurisdiction and statehood exist.

The Crown provides continuity and the Five provide the founding arrangement. A complete constitution must also create professional public institutions able to administer law, manage finance, deliver services and review decisions. Their powers need clear boundaries and separation where independence is essential.

The Living Triangle is a constitutional principle, not a substitute for detailed rules. Appointments, budgets, law-making, conflicts, removal, succession and judicial review all need precise provisions.

Human dignity, equality, bodily integrity, expression, belief, privacy, property, fair process, family life, political participation and protection from arbitrary power belong in the constitutional core. Children, older people, persons with disabilities and people at heightened risk need effective, not merely ceremonial, safeguards.

AAHA also intends duties toward animals, ecosystems and future generations. Those duties must be written so that decision-makers can be held to evidence and review rather than relying on broad promises.

The drafting process should publish working principles, invite expert and public comment, record major disagreements and test provisions against realistic crises. Comparative constitutional research can inform the text, but AAHA must explain why a borrowed idea fits its own model.

Final adoption would require a lawful constituent process appropriate to AAHA’s future circumstances. Until then, documents remain labelled as research, discussion drafts or internally adopted initiative rules.
